NEW RACES FOR 2019

The Glatting Beacon Five

We will be adding this race in Mid Feb 2019 as part of our 5 mile race series.

Starting from the Whiteways car park the route climbs steadily to the turn point just below the Glatting Beacons on the Southdowns Way. The route is then straight back the way you came to the finish.

All runners will receive a medal and a bacon roll

The Rewell Wood Five

We will be adding this race in Autumn 2019 as part of our 5 mile race series.​

Starting from the Cricket Club the route will be the reverse of September Running festival route without the Steps

All runners will receive a medal and a burger at the finish.

2019 5 mile race series

Our 5 mile race series will feature the Glatting Beacon 5, The Felpham 5, The Great Bottom 5 and The Rewell 5.

Our entry page will have a season Ticket option which will mean you can race all four for the price of three when purchased before the date of race 1 (Feb 17th 2019)

As local runners, we aim to give you great value and an event that we would gladly want to race in ourselves.

The Great Bottom Five

This will be race 3 in our 5 mile race series.​

Starting from the Whiteways car park again the route takes you up the first part of the denture before a sharp left and a lovely run around Great Bottom, before a familiar return if you have previously ran the Glatting Beacon 5

All runners will receive a medal and a bacon roll at the finish.

The Great Bottom Five

This will be race 3 in our 5 mile race series.​

Starting from the Whiteways car park again the route takes you up the first part of the denture before a sharp left and a lovely run around Great Bottom, before a familiar return if you have previously ran the Glatting Beacon 5

All runners will receive a medal and a bacon roll at the finish.

The David Lloyd Ultra/Ultra Relay

We will be adding this race on 23rd June  2019.

Starting at David Lloyd Clubs Worthing this tough Ultra marathon heads out on to the Southdowns Way and follows a 40 mile trail route.

With well stocked aid stations every 10 miles we will also have a 4 x 10 mile and 2 x 20 mile relay option and a 30 mile tap out at the top of Ditchling Hill.

The finish is at the David Lloyd Clubs Brighton where we will feed you and you can use the club facilities to recover.

AS WITH MANY SMALL SPORTS EVENTS , THEY CANNOT TAKE PLACE WITHOUT HELP FROM A TEAM OF MARSHALS. IF YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO HELP OUT WE WILL FEED YOU AND ENSURE YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING YOU WILL ENJOY. WE WILL SUPPLY YOU WITH FULL INSTRUCTIONS AND THE RELEVANT HIGH VIZ CLOTHING TO KEEP YOU AND THE RUNNERS SAFE AT ALL TIMES.

THE MARSHAL ROLES AVAILABLE INCLUDE TIMEKEEPING, , COURSE MARSHALS, REGISTRATION ASSISTANTS, , COURSE SET UP AND TAKE DOWN, REFRESHMENT TABLE AND MEDAL PRESENTERS.
